I've got a buddy that's got some goofy things going on with his 7240. Temp shows towards hot, voltage shows low. When he turns on the headlights, gauges go back to where they should be. Shut the lights off, gauges slowly work their way back to the goofy stage. Sometimes, the fuel gauge will flash. Do you guys have any idea what to look for?
