Subject: help missing calves

SW WI
Do donkeys really help keep coyote's away. I had a new calf born Sunday night, mother cleaned it up and it nursed real good Monday morning it was gone. There really is no where for it to wonder off to, it could go under a fence if it got lucky then up a steep hill to the woods. Then it would have to go under another fence to be out of our pasture. To top it off this morning I am missing a 9 day old calf, it stuck to momma's side tight, it is no where to be found this morning. The momma's are agitated calling for them with no luck. We do have coyotes in the area. I have 4 othercalves on the ground with 8 more cows to calve, any advice is appreciated. TIA
