| First thanks again to all who responded to my request for ideas in my post last night. When I went back to the engine this morning I tested spark plug and compression and both were good. Well I started it up again and same situation of firing in one cylinder and not the other. A little fiddling with the choke and it at least ran a little better when choking it but still like crap. I thought maybe I have a fuel restriction ( why that would make only one cylinder fire I don't know). The fuel filter was fine but a rubber hose was nearly completely clogged. I replaced the hose and away she went running smooth as ever. Has anyone had a similar experience and/or an explanation as to why it effected one cylinder...
As far as the hose being clogged it was very old and I wonder if the new to us added ethanol had something to do with it getting clogged. | |
