Manchester, OK | As we move our operation more to no-till, we have some dead time in the summer months. I work like to start doing some of my own soil sampling to help pay the summer wages for my guys. What software packages you all are using to position yourself to create maps with the intent of variable application for ag lime, dry fertilizer, etc? Anyone using their seed dealers software at a reduced license...IE Pioneer, DeKalb, Winfield?
I would be hiring my ag lime applied and doing my own dry fertilizer with my 1890 at time of seeding (wheat, canola).
