Northwest kansas | Last week, I went to Plainville and got 4 cows. Today I got back from my forensics meet. Went and checked the cows. One cow seemed to be on her own, but she came to the grain. She she got to the bunk, I noticed some blood on her tail. I remembered where she came from so I went there. Didn't see anything except some afterbirth. No calf. Went and got the 4 wheeler and started looking. Nothing anywhere. The dogs seemed to be barking and going back to one spot, so I got off and went and looked. This calf was up against a tree, frozen to death. The calf was not frozen solid, but just dead. What time would this calf have been calved out? | |
