Subject: Question for those who don't run new combines

VA
If you had a choice between a JD 9600 and a Cat 400 series - what would you pick if the price is basically the same. Dealers here are about equal. I am currently running an 860 Massey and don't run many acres but would like to upgrade. Capacity is not a big issue and I know the 470 - 480 are somewhat bigger. Both would be a significant upgrade.

I have heard the Cat's might be a little high on maintenance and that the 9600's are simple. The Cat would have 1000 fewer hrs than the 9600. Seems like the Cat has a good many more features - especially like the 3D sieves for my hills. I am running corn, beans, and small grain.

Thanks for any thoughts, especially from owners.
