Carlsbad, New Mexico / Pecos, Tx | We are running a pull type as of now but plan on going SP this spring. Pull type works great but we want to do our own defoliating from now on. What I'm wondering is about SS tank and plumbing. Is it worth it? We have had some residue issues in the past even with the use of a tank cleaner. Do they really clean up a lot easier than the poly stuff?
Has anyone ran drop nozzles while defoliating? We can't seem to get the bottom leaves/bolls. The canopy is just to dense and soaks it all up even on the second pass!
Also, we are irrigated on 30's so we will be getting crop dividers. We will be going with a deere sprayer, but I'm not sure about their crop dividers. They seem like they would be to tall from the ground. What does everyone recommend on those as well.
