WI | What would the best planting dates (given mother nature cooperates) for planting winter wheat in North Central WI? What can happen if the wheat is planted to early? Also does anyone mix in phosphorus with there seed when planting? Do you think minimal tillage would be beneficial to try to catch as much snow cover as possible? I'm just throwing the idea around of putting wheat in some PP ground that I have and really would like to get it going as soon as would be recommended as my weeds are starting to grow now that we have moisture again. I have done some research and I think if i plant winter wheat I would be planting the Jerry variety.
