Subject: Dekalb/ Monsanto corn types emmergence this year

McLeod County, MN
Just checking to see how the DK and other monsanto types(Channel, Gold Country, etc) emmerged in your area???

Up here there are some really ugly fields of DK. I planted about 75% Channel and I have one farm that had really poor emmergence. The stuff is a rockstar if it comes out of the ground, but it really didnt impress me this year. Works fantastic on really well-drained ground. The conditions were about as bad as possible, but the big M didnt perform near as well as the Pioneer in the area. I have never been a P fan after watching whole fields of corn blow over from a passing bicycle, but next year it is gonna be time to give them a little more chance.

How did everyone else do?? Anyone plant 52-04? Heard it was a huge flop from a couple people.
