Subject: Auxillary battery for GPS

Southern Alberta
I remember reading a post about using a separate battery in the cab to power a GPS unit, but I can't find it. Here's my problem. When I break for lunch I want to turn off the tractor but leave the 750 on so that I don't need to go through the start up again. But when I start cranking the motor, there is a minor power loss that shuts off the 750. I believe someone put a battery in the cab and somehow wired it to the main batteries to keep it charged but it had something else that isolated it when starting the tractor. Any help is greatly appreciated.
