Subject: I think this will work with DEF

These 55 gal used stainless drums should be good for hauling smaller amounts of DEF to outer fields. At a 3% usage rate of DEF 55 gal equates to 1800 gal fuel.
At ~22.5 inches in diameter and ~34 inches high it fits my pickup better and I would rather lose 55 gal DEF than 200+ gal if it should heat deteriorate.

Type 304 stainless won't rust, should not degrade the DEF (originally used for soda pop), tolerates denting better, is opaque so that UV light cannot cause degradation, is fairly shiney which might help keep the contents cooler, drums can be manhandled, and if the urea starts to decompose that process will slightly pressurize the drum causing the chemical reaction to slightly reverse itself and less likely let the ammonia vent itself. Pumping from these should be easy with the SAE standard NPT outlets. The web owners (I have no affiliation with them) were friendly and helpful. I bought a heavier 1.5 mm thick drum (about 16.5 guage).

Freight was reasonable.

At the worst I will turn out wrong.
