West Central Iowa | OK, I know I am a tight a$$, but I just can't force myself to spend $100.00 for the 4 or 6 small (#6X 1/2"??) allen screws that bolt the autosense sensor to the mounting bracket (the bracket is $150.00 by the way). What is SO special about this hardware???? Are they stainless steel or something more exotic to prevent some sort of magnetic field or similar from affecting the autosense sensor? Or is more then just the screws included in the sensor mounting hardware kit that makes it worth the $100.00?
Has anyone used anything but the Trimble supplied hardware. I am sure I can get just about any type of hardware from McMaster-Carr or other suppliers for a fraction of the cost.
I have been quoted the same price from 2 different Trimble dealers, so I don't think it is the dealers overcharging for these, but Trimble is charging them a lot and they must pass it on.
Thanks
