Central Illinois | The bull is loaded and gone. Was at the peoria farm show, talked to Tjm and crew. the former bull rider in the crew had a few suggestions for loading the bull.
1 get on him and ride him into the trailer.
2 get in front of him and when he starts chasing run into the trailer and out the side door. Claims to have used this method in the past and works good. Told the rider to show up this morning to show us how to do it, but no one showed up.
What we did do is let the bull find his way into the corral by himself and closed gates behind him. We had a cow in heat on the trailer left her out but he was not real interested. We had some big square bales by the corral so that he did not try to exit on his own. Once he was in the corral we could not get him to move up the corral so we took the skidsteer in and convinced him to turn around. Once he turned he ran right up the shute and into the trailer. Slammed the door and down the road. When he got to the sale barn they called him a kitten, not excited at all.
Thanks for the advice. | |
