Subject: Is our corn acreage crowning...

Abbott's view is that our corn acreage is crowning...his comparison to other nations increasing corn acreage. We were ahead of the game...now they expand..
"catch up" if you will...
Monsanto and Dupont anticipate bringing gmo seeds to Mexico...think of the additional impact of 6 million acres of production on good, average, and fringe area...we are the ones who have made it possible for other countries to expand and have higher degree of success with their farm operations. I see it as they are more "pulling their load" to help feed the globe. I dare think if world population continues at the pace it is currently and world ag acreage were stagnant the amount of civil unrest for food would be horrific, ja.
Is this so much about competition or is main goal feeding the masses...which target shall we aim at? gottlieb.
