se montana | Had a few weined calves get really sick this fall. I've doctored them and kept them alive, and even got them feeling better, but they still walk with a tilt in their head, like they've got a heck of a headache. Does anybody know what this is?
We've had these in the past, and some died, but most dissappear into the herd eventually. My vet used to think it was somnus, but I am way covered for somnus vaccines (3 rounds). I don't think it could be.
I do have some low levels of coccidia going on, but I'm on bovetec, and I feel it's controlled. The bloody tailed calves don't have this "head tilting" issue, so I don't beleive coccidia is causing this.
