| The past few years we have chisel plowed corn ground that is going to beans and disced bean ground that is going to corn. Next year I'm thinking about changing the way we do things a bit.
Instead of chisel plowing stalks I want to plow bean stubble ahead of corn as I think there is a significant benefit to the corn yield. I'm torn between trying straight no-till beans into stalks with a fall applied chemical or seeding some kind of cover crop once we harvest the corn. I've tried doing some research as well as searching on here but I've ended up with so much information I'm not sure where to start.
I've already worked all the ground this year so I have till next fall to come up with some kind of plan. Any input would be greatly appreciated. | |
