Subject: valley truss rod questions regarding extending spans

DE
according to valley parts sheet, to extend a 185 to a 205, the first truss rod needs to be .06" longer, second third and fourth rods needs to be .22" longer, center rod needs to be .32" shorter and the 205 spans are calling for 13/16" rods instead of 3/4" rods that are on the 185 span. Would the existing rods work or modify (grind a little off) the bracket where they fasten to make the slightly shorter rods work, maybe put washer on each end of the longer one to make shorter, and also, would the 3/4 be strong enough. I know they use a heavier rod for a reason, but has anyone extended one to 205" using the 3/4 rod, would it hold? this would be the third span in a 7 tower system.
