Subject: Could I sow grass now?

I just got done having a pond rebuilt. The dam and shores have nice ground on them that would make an excellent seedbed. If I were to spread brome, fescue or bluegrass seed on it now, is there an chance it might germinate in the spring? Assuming it ever rains or snows again. Most of this is too steep to run a tractor and drill on. Most of it has ridges about six inches apart and two inches high left from the excavator and crawler bucket teeth.
