Farming in NW Iowa | I have some conventional corn and soybeans ordered and the list price on the beans varies from $61.45 to $64.45, with a 11/21 pay date from $54.08 to $56.72. I called my dealer to see what roundup beans ran and was told $40 to $45 a bag? When I told him my price he said it sounded like the treated seed price. He wasn't at his computer so couldn't check it out until tomorrow. The line behind the variety reads Conventional SA21 140K BAG IST. Is the IST meaning treated seed? I have never planted treated soybeans except sometimes using Quickroots.
Also on the corn, list prices were $231.90 and $243.90 with a 11/21 pay of $204.07 and $214.63. Also has a description of Conventional SA21 140K BAG IST.
I have some Stine soybeans oredered for around $39 a bag. If these Pioneer prices are correct, I may need to get more Stines!!!!
