Dennison, IL | I made a comparison this summer between a 9770 Deere and an S67 Gleaner. I was told on here that I was wrong for making that comparison. (It's all I had to compare) According to the literature that Gleaner sent out, you are correct. I should have compared it to a 9870. After you get done adding up all of Gleaner's horsepower "savings" you should compare it to a 418 hp. deere. I came up with that by adding the extra horsepower requirements to the S67 that they said it took to run a Deere. 36 more horsepower for the fan, 50-60 for the chopper, and 8 h.p. for the extra weight. This makes me pretty proud of my green machine. ;-) Don't get your blood pressure too high, Gleaner printed it. It's unfortunate, but the Gleaner is a dog compared to the green one here. Wheat, corn, and soybeans The other way to look at it is that it should only take 256 h.p. to run a comparable Gleaner to a 360 h.p. 9770. food for thought. | |
