Subject: Cat5 drawbar and Cat4 hitch on JD9410R and grain Cart

Western PA
Need some help...
We have a J&M 1051 grain cart.
Trying to hook it to a new JD 9410R tractor.

We ordered the tractor with a Cat5 drawbar because of the 4200lb tongue weight on the cart. Deere spec said cat4 would have been marginal.

The PTO location relative to the drawbar is too close to allow us to use the hammer-strap on the tractor (with the cart -- the PTO will nearly hit the hammerstrap in a straight, perfect position).

So, we are trying to figure out the best way to hook up this combination. I tried to seek some help from a J&M rep, but have yet to get a reply.

The Cat 5 drawbar has a 2 3/4" pin/hole. The drawbar is 3" thick.
The cart hitch has a top & bottom hole size of 2 1/2". It has about 4 1/2" between top & bottom

I know I need to leave enough slop to not put it in a bind in a dip, but I want to make sure everything is as tight as possible to reduce wear.

My inclination is to use it as is with a 2" hitch pin (but, I haven't found one yet).

Any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks
