the link above is a free utility to those that waant a start button back in windows 8
I havent tried it yet - but if i go to windows 8 it will have a utility like this installed - i played with a non touch screen laptop with windows 8 on it the other day - having an new operating system with two programs for it (ie for the desktop and IE for the metro version is absolutely ridiculous - from what i see so far - almost all business and power users will skip the metro interface if they can......
there are also paid ones stardock for like $5 that wil enable transparencey to come back to desktop windows in win 8 also if i read that correctly.......
I am happy with win 7 - does everything i want to do - have vista at work - does everything i want it to do.....and they give me free tools to write my own apps (which i have written a few little helpful utilities) if i want to .... i just stay away from IE and all seems great.....
