Subject: Wishek 814NT disk

Wallis, TX
Anyone running one in heavy, gumbo/blackland clay? Looked at several today, 11" & 13" spacing, 28" & 30" blades. I liked the 30" blade with 11" spacing. I figured better blade life, but am worried with the 11" spacing about getting them into the ground, even with the heavy disk.

How about rotary scrapers? I saw one demo disk that looked like the scrapers have been pushed out of place in only a few acres. One even had a bad or dragging bearing after what looked like one day's use.

Any problems with the carry wheels? The ones I saw had used truck tires, don't look like I'd have any problems with them, but was wondering about the wheel bearings.

Any comments/experiences appreciated.
