Subject: Autopilot Critical Fault ValveFET/coil open

Oswald No-Till Farm Cleghorn, IA
Greetings,

The fault mentioned above happened once before this spring when I was having a devil of a time with the RTX problem (still unresolved) on my CFX 750 used for Autopilot in my AFS Magnum 215. I rebooted the NAVII and things seemed to work.

Today, after returning my CFX 750 to my planter tractor (thought I reloaded the configurations correctly) after running it on EZ Steer in my sprayer tractor. It would not engage and would only show the fault.

I tried a number of different things. Then, about the time I planned to quit for the evening, I tried to engage autopilot again. This time I was running a freeform line along a waterway. It engaged and didn't cause a lick of trouble for the next couple hours. I had no problem following the freeform line as well as shifting the line for doubling back 15" rows.

Clearly, the autopilot was steering the tractor around the curve and ground truthed the split quite well after a 15" nudge.

What say you???

TIA

Tom
