Subject: GPS beginner (recommendations?)

NW KY
Looking to get a little further than we currently are into the "guidance-game."
We have a couple Outback S1 lightbars (I think....) that we got a few years back to use on in our sprayer, NH3 applicator, and spreader trucks.

We are now interested in doing a couple of things:
- automatic row shut off for DB 60 (via WAAS?)
- automatic boom section shut off on a Wilmar self-propelled spray w/ 80' booms
as we feel these have the best and quickest ROI, while not being overly intricate.

We would like to upgrade the lightbars to some sort of GPS related display that can be used with whatever is needed to control the shut offs, and would also like for the displays to have mapping so the driver can easily tell what they have and have not covered already.
Variable-rate will not be utilized at this time, but might need to be considered given that we may use it a few years down the road.

We have been relatively pleased with the performance of our Outback devices, but are looking for some advice on which direction we should go from here?

What is the easiest, most effective, and/or cheapest way to accomplish these goals?
Recommended brands? Recommended displays/boom-control/row-command systems?

PS - might also look into a couple EZ-Steer type devices
