Subject: chicken litter truck

Canton, Ga
I've got a single axle chevy spreader truck with 14' bed. I've been thinking about building a tandem axle truck with a 20' to 24' bed. Just wandering if any of you have tried this and how happy you were with it. Seems like I could haul almost twice as much in one load to save time. My two main concerns are how well i could get around? Don't want to be stuck all the time. And would a tandem about the same fuel mileage as the single axle?
