Subject: used oil burner oil not igniting.....

Manitoba
we got some used oil from our regular oil supplier. not a lot of history on the stuff, just a few barrels he had laying around. it's oil but that about all we know. We added it the other day an it seems like it does not want to light like normal. Burner is working normally but it just does not want to ignite. If I heat up the injector nozzle with a propane hand torch till it's hot then it wll ignite when I start the burner and it stays lit, just won't restart once off. The pre heater is working though and seems to be just as hot as it normally is. igniter looks to be working fine, it just wont ignite. What would cause something like that, does not seem to be water in it. we had the oil sitting for a while and then drained the bottom off to be sure, no water or anitfreeze. seems like the stuff has a differnt flash point than normal. I was thinking about adding some other used crankcase oil I have sitting around to blend it but thought I'd ask here in case anyone has an idea.
