Subject: Straight Grain Truck Pulling Combine Trailer

White Cross, NC
I have an oppertunity to buy a Ford L9000 cab and chassis wanting to put a 18-20ft grain bed on it to haul my own grain. In my area i could really advertise alot on custom harvesting and hauling. I want to either find a used pintle hitch combine trailer or build my own so i could pull it behind the truck to get to farms thats are farther away and want have to wear combine tires and engine out by driving down the road. My question is what kind of truck HP would it take to pull a Combine. Right now i have a IH 1440 in the future upgrading to a Case 21 series. Also i could put my big poly nurse tank on skids and slide it up in the bed and pull my sprayer and do some custom spraying.
