Subject: 8300 transmission problem

Nebraska
Hello. I've got a 8300 and it is acting strange. Recently bought and was being driven home and just stoped. In most gears, even reverse, it will go, stop moving and want to lock up and kill the engine. All different things at different times. When it moves most the time the clutch pedal won't stop it and i will have to put it in neutral. Other times the clutch pedal will stop it. Somtimes it won't move at all and then jump into gear and move. Sometimes when it is movinng it will act like the park brake is engaged and will stop all at once, but won't kill the engine. Sometimes it acts like it is trying to shift into two gears at once. It also acts like it wants to shift on its own somtimes. A ticking noise is heard when moving coming from the transmission. VERY strange and inconsistant and unpredictable. Also there are no codes. Scared to try it above 7th forward and 2nd reverse. Anyone ever seen somthing as wierd as this? Any thoughts would be great. Thanks.
