Subject: Field-IQ disconnected messages

Central Nebraska
We started with NH3 using our new FMX and Field-IQ system and have nothing but troubles. The system is installed on an 07 MX245 that was factory ready. The NH3 machine has a new Raven flow meter and a KZ 4 wire fast valve. When everything communicates it is wonderful. The problem is that we get Field-IQ disconnected messages often and randomly that require a toggle of the on/off master switch and quite often circle back to get the spot that was missed. Our dealer has installed numerous Field-IQ systems and claims that he has a few problem children and they are all power related. He claims that if the Field-IQ module is fed dirty power it shuts down and that is what is happening on ours. This evening he wired it to the other battery on the tractor and we made a few rounds with no problems.

My dad is about ready to trash the system and go back to the old Hiniker setup. We loose variable rate control and section control but at least it works! Dealer says if it still causes problems we will wired the Field-IQ module to a totally separate battery. He also says trimble is aware of the issue and are re-engineering their modules to be less sensitive.

Has anybody else had this issue? Does anybody know anything about power filters that may clean up the noise issues?
