Subject: Landoll 2310 or 2211

Boone, Iowa

I am looking into trading my M&W 1700 for a newer tillage machine.  I have been running my M&W in the 10-11 inch depth.  I have looked at both of the Landoll machines at the Farm Progress Show.  I know 2211 is considered a disk chisel and the 2310 is considered a ripper.  I like the fact that the chisel shanks on the 2211 are on 15 inch spacings and will chisel in the same depth I am currently at with the M&W.  The 2310 is spaced on 30 inch centers, based on the machine width I am looking at.  I know both machines have a rear disk, which will help level the ground.  Any input on the pros and cons of these two tillage machines?  Thanks.
