I am considering switching to where I do not rely so heavily on my cell phone. It limits my productivity. I'll even put on my tinfoil hat and say that I'm not convinced it's 100% safe over the long term, especially with the number of hours per day that I use it. I have a 4th gen iPod Touch. I don't hardly ever use it. However, I believe it could be a useful communications tool for my family to contact me if I'm out of range of our 2-way radios. They could send me an email, and if I could get the iPod Touch to light up when I get an email, I would have at least limited contact through the iPod Touch. I intend to still cary my phone with me, but it would be off. I would instead rely upon a Verizon mobile hotspot for my iPod Touch internet connection. I do not want an iPhone for several reasons. So I ask you, is it possible for emails to be "pushed" to an iPod Touch so that it can alert me to critical communications? Thanks. |
