Edson, Alberta, Canada | Back in Feb. I posted about one of my hard drives that I run in RAID 1 configuration had failed. I received a lot of good information here (thanks everyone) on how to fix the problem and replace my failed hard drive. At that time I asked, out of curiousity whether I should replace the second hard drive as well. The consensus was "No" as hard drive failures are unpredictable. Three days ago the second hard drive failed. I have replaced it and all seems well in Happy Land at this time. Due to where I live the first hard drive cost me $54 and this last one $102 but I could have gotten them both cheaper if I had chosen to drive to the city over 100 miles away. So just an update is all, not complaining or anything like that. Regards, Dave. |
