Subject: Looking at new tractor which display

Red River Valley
I am considering a lease on a T8050 New Holland, but have not been able to decide which display I want to get.

Goals:
1. RTK integrated steering running off a NovAtel Smart-10 Base station/and or MN Cors Network with my own non Trimble radios. ( Currently run a EZ-guide 500 like this.)
2. Water management the ability, to do surface drainage and tile plow.
3. Ease of use, as I will most likely not be running the tractor during planting, I need to be able to easily teach my brothers.
4. keep my costs down
5. Ability to use Glonnass satellites.

My Options:
1. Field manager display with full RTK that the dealer wants to get off it's shelf
2. FMX
3. Inteliview IV

Questions:
1. Can the FMX be run with another NovAtel reciever?
2. Can the Inteliview be run with another NovAtel reciever?
3. I know that the FMX can not run Glonnass without a Trimble reciever will this be fixed or is Trimble playing hardball?

Thanks,

Ben Loll
