Roseau, MN | Anyone make there own land roller? I'm looking at building my own and have come to the conclusion I can use an old kinze 24 row rear fold bar and make it out of that. I have found 36" by 9/16 wall pipe for $70.00/ft and the 24 row kinze bar for $4000.00 add a couple thousand for more steel and $1500.00 for 3" flange bearings. A few days in the shop and should be able to put it together. Question, how long can a guy go on an individual roller? I know of someone who made a 25' single roller and said it works fine..... can I go to 2-30' rollers or am I better off cutting the bar down to fit 2-25' rollers? I should be able to put a roller together for <$10,000.00. That's a lot cheaper than $40,000.00 for a new one. | |
