Subject: DNS Protein 16%, Where's my money?

Davenport, Washington
I have been researching why my co-op warehouse and other co-ops around me. They do not pay up to 16% protein anymore only to 15.5%. My DNS goes to the exporters at Portland. My co-op tells me that they only get paid to 15.5%. I checked with USDA which posts the Portland price and they assure me that the exporter are truly paying up to 16%. What do others hear get paid up to on protein. Even if you don’t ship DNS to Portland I’d like to hear from you. The loss of two quarters up in premiums right now would make the difference 60 cents. Plus my payment is 30 cent up per quarter as oppose to USDA Portland bids at 35 cents. This makes the difference almost a buck per bushel. What’s going on???
