Subject: Adobe Acrobat Problem

ECIL
I have Adobe Acrobat/Reader 9 in my computer but when I try to open a PDF document a message flashes up saying " The AdobeAcrobat/Reader that is running cannot be used to view PDF files in a web browser. AdobeAcrobat/Reader version 8 or 9 is required. Please exit and try again." Up until this weekend I had no problems with reading this style PDF. I reinstalled the Adobe Acrobat/Reader 9 on my computer to no avail. Over the weekend my 9 yr. old installed a couple old kid CD games on my wife's side of the computer and they had Adobe version 3 on them. I unistalled those but still have the readability problem. What do I need to do to fix this? Please keep in mind I'm not too bright when it comes to computers. The documents I want to read are updates from a subscribed to service. Until now I have been able to open and read them. I archived the old documents I could read before but now they cannot be opened.

TIA!!!!!
