Baldwin City, KS | No doubt this has been gone over before, but I missed it. Our retailer that we deal with has been pushing pretty hard on trying to get folks to use Avail. I will be spreading alot of 18-46-30-10-1 over the top of bean stubble ahead of corn. Typically this would have been on tillage and gotten worked in, but nothing got worked.. There is a 50% chance that the only disturbance my ground may see this spring is an Nh3 applicator and the planter. I will try to be using a small amount of popup fert, but will be depending mainly on DAP for P K needs.
Aside from the additional info that I just gave, my question is, year in, year out; in a corn/bean rotation on ground that raises 20-50 bu beans and 100-150 bu corn, does it pay to use Avail? What have you guys seen? Thanks for the help. | |
