Mercer County, Ohio on the Indiana line | I have a family friend that is selling insta grow's 9-18-9 @ 4gpa.
The local helena co-op is wanting us to try their hyperlink 8-24-4 @ 3gpa.
Both products are 100% ortho, and we apply 28% 2x2.
Our fields are way out of balance due to over applying chicken manure for 10 years before we could sell the manure.
Our pH is already high and our P levels are through the roof. With our K levels on the lower side it looks like 9-18-9 is going to be our best bet. But we could bump rates of the 8-24-4 and get the higher K and N rates but then our already high P will increase even more will it not?
My main question is, will the hyperlink with a higher P content continue to hurt our soil balance or does the pop-up not effect soil tests because of the lower rate |
