Subject: used sprayer inspection help needed

North West IA/western AZ
Planning on an inspection trip in the coming weeks (weather allowing). Besides the obvious boom cracks, and broken frame, what do I look for. Probly looking at JD 4700, how do you tell if the suspension is getting worn. One of the dealers told me the rear final drives need to be bigger than the front. Any way to test the hydo in this kind of weather? Are the hour meter readings acurate (is there a way to tell if they have been replaced)? IF I see rust bubbled paint on the boom do I beware as evidence of poor maintinence? Any help appreciated.
