Subject: Insulin response to protein or lack thereof - diabetics take note

Pittsburg, Kansas
Dr Rob Cywes presentation. This is pretty nerdy and may be only interesting to diabetics who want to understand why their blood sugar rises at some points even though they are not eating carbohydrates (for example on a very low carbohydrate ketogenic diet or carnivore diet). This information applies to me and my blood glucose response.

Many people will just skip this presentation. But it was of interest to me and it may be to other diabetics wanting to understand their disease better.

Researcher Ben Bikman has covered this subject before but here Cywes puts a finer point on this specific point of issue.

A lot has been and is being newly learned about diabetes in the last 10-20 years. Maybe in the next 10-20 years the medical industry will catch up to the latest information in treatment of diabetes.
