DE | Want to change fuel filters. Youtube videos show a hand pump on top of filter housing. This stupid truck ain't got one. 2005 vhd. I have seen videos of people pouring diesel into filter before install. Ok if it's already filtered. I always heard prefilled oil filters but not diesel fuel filters for risk of contamination
follow up:
well I found out how you bleed the fuel on this truck. There is a rocker switch to the right of steering column press down and release. An electric fuel pump comes on for 3 to 4 minutes and primes the fuel system. Cool! Did one cycle truck started right up but then died in less than a minute. Went through another cycle and ran good. Came back after lunch, started right up but then suddenly quit. Went through another cycle, and third time was a charm.
