North Western IL | Been feeding yearlings for several years now on open, concrete lots with hillbilly shade and hillbilly windbreaks. Strongly considering putting up a hoop or gable roof building a-la Garvo. The building salesman is telling me to concrete a scrape apron 16-20 feet past the bunks, but leave the rest of the building packed clay with packed lime on top.
Anyone else do this? Seems like it’s a far cry from pouring concrete on the whole thing. TIA | |
