Northeast Iowa | Took 3rd cutting alfalfa a little early this time in order to make time for a fishing trip to Canada next week. Looking forward to taking a small break from the farm. Thankful for family that will take care of the cows while I'm gone.
Also got a dry stretch last week to get oat hay put up. We use it for dry cow and heifers. Have baled over 900 bales total this year and had the first one not wrap in the oat hay. My brother said he got a good workout unrolling it for me. Had a a cousin help hauling and she snapped a couple of neat photos for us.
