Subject: Does anyone else think SOY acres were UNDER reported last week?

I hate to mention after another ugly day on the soys, but does anyone else think soy acres were under reported? Was going to post last week, but late in getting around to it. I'm in heavy corn country (northern iowa) and even the most dedicated corn growers shifted more acres to soy this spring. Many of the large scale operators have been heavy COC for years, and most of them shifted to beans in a big way. I remember talking to one last winter and they bragged how profitable beans were and there were going even heavier this year on beans. I'm sure they priced ahead if they follow through with their plan. There are more beans in my area than i've seen in the last 10 years. I'd say 30% more beans in my area than normal. Does anyone else see this in their area? Not trying to salt a wound...USDA is always wrong but i feel they wrong to the low side on this one. I believe they are under reported. My .02
