Im a little biased, I have known this man and his family all of my life and this is my church/school that I have attended again, all of my life, but I think this is about the coolest random act of respect I have seen in a while!!!
Pete (93) and his wife Mildred (96) are probably some of the nicest people you will ever meet. I'm thrilled that someone finally did this for him while he was still here to experience it himself. They still live at home alone and still drive themselves to church every weekend. Pretty remarkable!
I'm sure it won't matter as much to most on here as it does to me, but I thought on this Memorial Day weekend, I should try to help spread the word and honor at least one Vet who sacrificed his plans so that the rest of us could live in this country with the freedoms we have!
