NW Indiana | Basically they are saying we are within 2 bushel of last years record and 2 bushel above trend. With the lack of moisture in a big chunk of the growing area during pod fill it seems unlikely to be over trend. I have seen a bunch of yield reports with some really great bean yields but even most of them say lower than last year by more than 2 bushels. We added a bunch of acres and most of that comes from areas of below trend type ground. So who feels we can reach the 49.9 the usda is predicting? This is likely the last card in the deck when it comes to 2017 US production and what effect it has on price. Personally I'm at 48 | |
