Illinois | Our corral that was built in the '70's and '80's has been showing its true age the last few years. Especially after we had a wild cow last week, that was checked open after preg checking the herd, had decided to jump two of the wooden fences and tore them down. I took a drone picture of our set up. I know it is far from perfect for running 40-50 head through at a time, too many corners for calves to stick their heads in while sorting, gate and alley widths don't match up, etc. But we are at the point now of doing a tear out and rebuilding most of it.
What do some of your guys corrals look like that run a similar number of head through at a time?
We have a bunch of guard rail stacked up and also had thought about buying some 6 or 7 bar steel fencing.
