Oklahoma | Have put calves on wheat pasture for a while now with no problems. Gonna sale cattle off wheat soon. But I'm still gonna have some wheat pasture left. Got some heifer pairs that are a little thin. (calves are 3-4 wks old) was thinking about putting them on wheat to get them back in good condition for rebreeding. (30-45 days). I am in uncharted territory as I have never put pairs that young on wheat before. Should I only put them on during daylight hrs to be on the safe side? Or is there a way to do it safely? Kinda worried don't want to mess them up. | |
