Subject: Raw Wet Litter vs. Pelleted

North Central Illinois
I have been using spring applied pelleted poultry litter ahead of organic corn. This has worked well, but is fairly costly. I have an opportunity to buy 50% moisture raw litter for just over 1/2 the cost after adjusting for nutrients on a dry matter basis.

Am I likely to see a difference agrononically?

Are the neighbor's 300 yards away going to notice the difference? The pelleted stuff does stink until I get it worked in, but usually not too bad unless it gets rained on.

Edit to add: there is a third option of dehydrated litter that is the same product as the pelleted litter, except it has not been through the pelleting process that would save $40/ton compared to the pelleted product.
